The percentage of coverage of hot water needs of a home a solar water heater is variable, such as sunlight in the region where it is located. However, it is not the only factor at play: the surface, of course, but also the position and orientation of solar thermal collectors are indeed fundamental, whatever the degree of sunshine in the region where they are.
In this regard, I found it useful to recall the four main rules to follow when choosing the placement of its solar panels.

Rule No. 1: The calculation of the installed collector area must take into account the sunshine of the region. For example, there will be 3 to 5 m 2 of sensors for a balloon from 200 to 300l on the Riviera, while 5 to 7 m 2 of solar power will be needed for the same ball in Lille.

Rule No. 2: For best performance, solar collectors must be oriented to the south, with a margin of plus or minus 30 degrees.

Rule No. 3: The positioning of sensors must be conducted so as to minimize the extent possible, the shadows of the surrounding elements (buildings, trees, mountains ...) on the sensors. It is therefore necessary to study carefully the sun mask prior to the implantation of sensors.

Rule No. 4: Ideally, solar collectors should be tilted at 45 degrees for optimal performance. However, it is possible to consider that this inclination may enroll in a margin of plus or minus 15 ° with respect to this recommendation. An inclination between 30 ° and 60 ° will generally obtain satisfactory performance of the sensors.

  • Try to learn more about solar panels and you can easily install a system at home or in the office, don’t hesitate because you’re doing the world a favor and you also get a lot of benefits.

Good tips. By converting to home solar power systems, you will receive tax credits from the government. This is their way of rewarding you for using clean and environment-
    friendly energy.
